Back in the late 1800's and early 1900’s the Sideshow was considered family entertainment and is a part of American History. In 1884, Joseph Carey Merrick contacted a showman named Sam Torr and proposed that Torr exhibit him, making Merrick one of the most famous side show attractions in history.

This mask was sculpted by Scott Stoddard, who spent an incredible amount of time, care and effort researching every detail of Merrick’s skeleton to create a depiction of what he looked like back in 1884.
